Hold an Event in 2012

Biz Week welcomes organisations from all sectors to take part through holding quality events between 11th and 15th June 2012. We invite organisations to submit expressions of interest, along with any initial ideas on themes, locations and aims.

The Biz Week steering group will work with interested parties to develop a programme that meets the needs of business, minimises clashes/repetition and encourages partnership working where appropriate.

What do you get in terms of marketing support?

As an event holder you have the support of the Biz Week steering group who can assist you with developing and promoting a successful event. In addition in there a range of materials that event will be promoted through:

  • 1/2 page event description in the Biz Week brochure (7,500 copies).
  • Event feature on the Biz Week website.
  • Promotional support via Biz Week social media and email list.
  • Opportunity to attend stakeholder networking and support meetings.
  • Biz Week printed materials to brand your event.
  • PR support to promote your event.
  • An online booking system to help you manage expressions of interest and delegate lists.

What does Biz Week ask of you?

This year we are asking event holders to make a contribution.
The contribution will go toward the print of materials, including promotional brochures and leaflets.
Whilst we do not anticipate having a remaining balance on contributions made after paying for print and materials, any remaining funds will be given to the Business Week Trust to support local charities.

We ask that any press releases relating to you Biz Week event be sent to communications partner, eskimosoup, who will be coordinating the media relations. In 2011, Biz Week received a lot of positive coverage through TV, radio, print and online; eskimosoup would work with event holders to develop themed PR angles and interview opportunities. We also ask that you use the Biz Week logo on any pre-event materials you produce and display Biz Week materials provided to you in advance of your event.

95.7% of event holders in 2011 rated their Biz Week experience as Good or Excellent.

Over 6,000 delegates attended Biz Week events in 2011.
